A small, belated thing

Something worth
celebrating.

Even if this one arrived a little late.

Dear Anjali,

First of all… yes, I know this is late.

Between exams, assignments and the general chaos of college life, your birthday wish somehow got delayed. But being late doesn’t mean you weren’t remembered.

You were one of the first people I got to know in college, and even though you were a senior, you never really made it feel that way.

You were always there for me and the gang, always willing to help, and somehow became one of those people who quietly became part of our college story. You’ve helped us more times than you probably realize.

And honestly, considering some of the life decisions you make… I sometimes wonder whether you need our help more than we need yours. But we’ll save that discussion for another day.

Jokes aside, I’m genuinely glad I got to know you. You’ve been a good friend, a good senior, and someone I’ll always remember fondly from these college years.

So this is my slightly delayed way of saying:

Happy Birthday, Anjali.

I hope this year brings you good things, good opportunities, fewer questionable life decisions, and plenty of reasons to be proud of yourself.

Keep growing. Keep helping people. Keep being you.

Even if the birthday wish arrived late, the appreciation didn’t.

Some people are only a chapter.

Some become part of the story.

I’m glad you’re one of mine.

Happy Birthday, Anjali. ✿
